Users of cryptocurrency cards based on the Visa payment system carried out transactions in the amount of $2.5 billion in October-December 2021. Such data was provided by CFO Vasant Prabhu during a conference with analysts, writes CNBC.
The indicator for the first fiscal quarter of 2022 was 70% of the value for the entire fiscal year 2021 ($3.5 billion).
“Consumers see value in linking a Visa card to an account on a crypto platform. The value is in instant and seamless access to this liquidity, financing purchases and managing expenses,” the top manager explained.
Payment system CEO Alfred Kelly recalled that Visa's strategy involves positioning as a hub in the crypto space - providing conditions for connection, scaling, creating value for consumers in a reliable and secure environment.
According to the company, the number of its crypto card issuing partners has grown from 56 to 65, including Coinbase, Circle, FTX, Bakkt and BlockFi. The number of merchants accepting digital assets has almost reached 100 million.
“Customers use cards linked to cryptocurrencies for various expenses – payment for retail goods and services, restaurants, travel. They are increasingly being treated as a general purpose account,” Prabhu explained.
Recall that in December 2021, Visa announced the creation of a new consulting division that will help clients navigate cryptocurrencies.
The firm also develops products focused on stablecoins and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
Visa previously announced a partnership with blockchain company ConsenSys to develop a module designed to help central banks and financial institutions build user-friendly services on top of CBDC networks.

An amazing way to earn extra money is to try ledgerx. I don't know what exactly it is, but as I understood a friend, these are some new products from the software inside the wallets from cryptocurrencies. I have not delved into this, but I will be glad to hear your answers if you tell me more about all this. If you know, tell me.

Not sure if it's actually a great way to earn extra money since the crypto market is not stable, and the chances of you losing your money are pretty high. That's why I trade forex, and I highly recommend you learn more about it and join that field. You can use this platform http://usforexbrokers.com/compare/forex-com-vs-saxo-bank/ to choose brokers, and I'm sure it won't be hard for you to become a professional trader.
