On first listen to this new release Since then 'till now from Toronto-based composer/keyboardist Fred Engler, you’ll notice and no doubt, be impressed by the amazing variety of genres and textures offered… from introspective solo piano (“A Walk in Central Park”) to sax and horn-driven Smooth Jazz (“Hanging On” featuring New York sax man Andy Snitzer) to old school urban vocals (“Smash, Grab and Run” featuring Elby). What ties it all together so effectively and so beautifully is the quality of the original compositions as well as the impeccable production values on this album and the World-class performances from Mr. Engler and his handpicked dream team of 18 featured musicians… the elite of the Toronto music community. SINCE THEN ‘TILL NOW is a fresh, compelling tour de force, featuring saxes, horns, electric violin, flute, searing electric guitar and captivating vocals. The result is vibrant and passionate; certainly well worth your listening time. I like this project a lot… it’s a great, new addition to my personal collection!
