Dividing Light - "A Test of Faith" |
Now cast aside illusions of the way my life should be, and live not within your hopeless faith or welcome tragedy... Faith makes but fools of all who follow without the strength to know All that begins will end in death and return to the ground Control is sought by those who still refuse to see it's lies. Chasing shadows through light will bear more fruit in time. Faith makes but fools of all who follow, without the strength to know that things can never be controlled, they'll simply waste away So shall I follow what I have known or abandon all the things that made me breathe free... Fear now brings strength in question, tears down all I have known My Prior Fool's conclusions no longer make me whole These tired eyes lead me away from my resolveAnd bring in question all the things I hold as truth. Is there fault in placing faith in my own mind, or have these wounds just blinded me for time? It is mankind's flaw to believe we can ever comprehend any part of a life or predict destiny. Faith makes but fools of all who follow without the strength to knowtruth does not follow the laws of man or reveal itself to his eyes His tainted eyes So shall I follow all I have known or abandon all the things that made me breathe? |
