Biography
( Lilith’s Mortuary )
Born in the summer of 2004. The Lilith's Mortuary project was thought to be a band that sounded like no other band we have ever heard. The original lineup was formed by Efren Narvaez, Edgar Ibarra, at that time members of "dark side" and Alberto Orozco (bleed to hell lead singer). Build on a Goth-Black basis, they added a keyboard (Marbel Ibarra) and Carlos Felix on bass. The band had their first chance to be noticed when they opened for bands like Obeisance, Adumus and Thornspawn. Cello (Pravda) and violin (Daniela) was added that same year, and this made a big change on the sound of their music. The band had troubles adapting their sound. Pravda, Daniela and Carlos decided to leave the band. So a new lineup was formed after this, Ivan (bass) and Hector (guitar) were to replace the missing members. Returning to a Goth-Black combination a new member joined the project, Ileana (vocals) creating a great vocal combination with Alberto. Just when Lilith's Mortuary was consolidating as one of the most promising bands of the local scene Alberto Orozco (lead singer) decided to quit the project.... Edgar and Efren started to look for a new singer. They found Hector (Vocals) in the early days of 2005. With the arrival of the new member the band had a period of great activity playing with local bands such as Animus Nocti, Ladylocusta, Confessional Booth Devirgination and land of corpses. In summer of 2005 the band started their first demo recording, but it has to be left unfinished due to Hector (guitar) and Ivan (Bass) decision to quit the project....... This almost brought and end to Lilith's Mortuary. But then a new guitar player showed up (Sergio). This brought confidence back to the band and the demo was finally finished. The Project was growing in success through every show where the band made appearance. Suddenly another member quits the project, this time it was Ileana (singer). After several auditions to find a bass player Mario Bolaños became part of the band. In September of 2005 the band played at the Dark goddess metal fest in the city of Chihuahua side by side with bands like Eris, Cruentuz and Articulo Mortis. In October of 2005, Marbel (keyboards) quits the band, Eduardo Arriola came in her replacement, and a new feminine voice (Abril) joined the project. In the same month Lilith's Mortuary played at the Halloween Fest in the city of Durango with bands like Spiritual Darkness and fisting. In The early days of November of 2005, Abril decided to leave the band, and the search for a new female voice began, finally Miriam came to take care of the female voices, at this time Lilith’s Mortuary was playing many shows with many bands such as Dark Evocation, Obeisance, Deathpills and Brutal Homophobic Mutilation. In that year the band had the opportunity to play with The Killing (Argentina). Miriam quits the project in November of 2005. The band realizes that they don't need a female voice to achieve the sound they were looking for. Lilith’s Mortuary mixes the influences of all of their members that goes from Black Metal, Death Metal, Metalcore, Doom, Heavy Metal, Gothic Metal, Gore, etc. Lilith’s Mortuary have a very distinctive sound, And the band feels that they have found the sound they were looking for. In the early 2006 the band was ask to participate on a Kid Antrim Music (New York) compilation, and in the Morante (Mexico D.F.) compilation. The band just finished their successful summer tour trough Mexico, Playing in cities like Guadalajara, Leon and Zamora Michoacan. Now days Lilith’s Mortuary Is working on their new record and it's known for being the band with most activity in the local scene.
