Fokker

Fokker Bio:

Besides being a famous aeroplane model, Fokker is now also a band from southern Finland. Founded in 2005 the group consists of four fearless aces who won't wet their pants even in tight situations. Not their pants, though yours may be in danger, since Fokker show is one leg shaking experience. Rock police better beware!

History of this crew includes numerous past and present groups. Pilots: bass player Piispa and guitarist Kupila, used to bang their heads in bands like Qla and Hyrrä. Drummer Elo is the source of rhytmic noises also in Kronik and singer/baritone player Kirves is involved in group called Ratas. Needless to say there's years of experience behind this project, so Fokker is already lightyears ahead of any high school band who's still wondering how to play while being drunk at the same time. We know. Loud.

Musically this group is flying somewhere over edged terrain of rough rock. Leg shaking effects in the lower register are guaranteed by baritone and bass guitars, all the while regular quitar keeps messing up both as much as possible. Include angry drumming from an even more angry lookin' drummer and you've got what Fokker's all about. And when everyone's as involved in arranging as playing, you can say that the results are at least interesting. Outsiders have compared Fokker to artists from Danzig to Chris Isaak and it's not that far from QOTSA either. In some songs echoes can be heard from Blind Melon and Alice In Chains and then there's of course Iron Maiden... So, as you might have already imagined, the musical content of Fokker is not restricted to just one or two chords. Anyway, everyone must draw their own conclusions. And with their own ears, not based on others opinions. You've got a mind of your own, right?

So the machine is freshly oiled and already warming up. And now that there's already a few miles on our meter there's no stopping. First official release will be out in the beginning of 2006 and before that you can gather some intel from our live shows. Be there and we'll wet your pants together!
