Montra

Montra Bio:

Montra was conceived after years of jamming together. In the final year of school (9 Mick, Jock, Sean, John and Freily decided to get together and start playing covers that have influenced Montra the most, such as Oasis, Radiohead and the Stone Roses. The Beatles, the Doors and the Kinks have also had their influence on the bands sound.

The name came out the blue. Listening to an interview with Ray Manzarek from the doors, he was talking about meditation and taking a mantra' and with the accent it sounded like Montra. It grew from there. Sean and Jock traveled round Australia for a year (03) so got back together in 04. Not long after that John left. Colin joined Montra as the bass player and Paul joined behind the scenes in 05.

Montra recorded a demo with 'Unleash' and 'Alone' as a four piece band. The band have got good vibes going and are ready to start playing, let the people hear Montra's tuneful, high tempo, material. Spread the word!!!
