Growing Down Bio:
The story begins…
Growing Down made their debut in September 2003, after members of United Again decided to reform as a new band with a different and a most solid sound. Formal members J-P, Pat, Yan and André thought they needed an extra something to improve their performances. That is where Thierry, the lead signer has joined in. With his new personality, the sound and lyrics sounded more like what the members originally wanted. Something more like the actual Growing Down.
In April 2003, they released their first demo and went on stage for the first time with A New Renaissance, Runt and Cigar. Since then, many shows with influent bands like Ten Foot Pole, Mute, Each On Set, Full Count and many more, have allowed Growing Down to gain both maturity and experience on stage.
They won the second place at the Steve’s Music rock contest in Sherbrooke in May 2003, which allowed them to play with Quebec’s french band Yélo Molo. A year later, the band has done numerous shows and planned many more. Growing Down is now working on their first Full length album due in fall 2004.
Recently, Growing Down has attempted BandsWar in Grenville where they won semi, quarter and the grand final against not less than 45 bands. With the prizes they accumulated at this day, the band envisages to record soon.
Their emo/screamo/punk-rock style is in current progression and they‘re working hard on it to charm you!
