Rocket
Rocket Bio:

Rocket formed in April 1990 in south Fargo, North Dakota. Rocket's first official gig was on July 1st 1990 at 2975 South Gate Dr. in Fargo. The band's setlist at that time included such timeless rock classic's as I'm Eighteen (Alice Cooper), School's Out (Alice Cooper), War Pig's (Black Sabbath) and many more.

The original band member's of Rocket were Neil "KRASH" Wiger (Guitars), Patrick "ALLRIGHT" Andersen (Keyboards) and Aaron "HUBCAP" Andersen (Drums). This lineup did not last past the spring '90. Soon Patrick left the band to pursue academic obligations. The two remaining band member's Neil "KRASH" Wiger and Aaron "HUBCAP" Andersen continued on until late August of '90. During wich period Hubcap became a proficient rhythm guitarist.

Later in the spring of 1992 Aaron visited Neil at his new home in south Moorhead baring news of a HUGE concert event in Aaron's newly found domain of Perham, Minnesota. The two decided to play this show on June 26th '92. This was the launch of the now legendary 'Rocket's Tribute To By-Tore" tour. Over 1,200 attendees were at the Perham show locally known as "Turtle Fest". The show was both an epic feat and disaster at the same time. According to Andersen, local residents complained of "hearing aide damage" and to much "distortion". Apparently Andersen had booked the band as a light rock and country act. Oops. To quote Wiger however this meant a whole new angst ridden following -- "Hell, bad press is better than no press at all!".

In the spring of 2001 Krash and Hubcap joined forces with Brian "MoMo" Witt (Bass), Brandon Carlisle (Drums) and Rachel Wiger (vocals) to create a band called DEAD MEMBER (wich later had rereleased material under the moniker, The Geraldo Style Satanists). This band played a lot of Black Sabbath and Motley Crue, Nirvana .. etc. But moralistic differences between members created a Yoko-Ono-like tension. It took many moons for Krash and Hubcap to recover from what Krash 'til this day remembers as "artistic alienation compounded by the want to fuck".

Tragically in the early portion of 2001 Hubcap's daughter died in a vehicular accident involving a gas truck. Needless to say this caused a trauma that would ripple throughout Rocket's paethos near eternally. Krash had military obligations and a plethora of marital issues BUT they were the band that would not DIE.

Rocket now sparsely rehearses but intends on playing some shows in the indefinite future.

Recorded live in Moorhead, Minnesota in March of 1993 (audience style recording). "What's Done..." was recorded during a perilous time by the individuals who even dared to record this acoustic rock material in their hometown.

This was a time when McHammer ruled the charts and G 'n' R left us high and dry. So try and learn the fundamentals of guitar theory before you bitch about our pieces. It's called fusion acoustoelectro... wanna jam?? email me (Krash) FargoGuitarHero@aol.com

We credit artists like Eddie Lange, Glenn Buxton, Toni Iommi, Django...etc.... I hope you enjoy our downloads and remember yesterday is only a day away. God bless!
