About Killer Angels
The story so far........KILLER ANGELS are a Scottish 4 piece formed in late 2003. Such was the strength and abundance of songs that the KILLER ANGELS had, Karam Leathy (singer), Tony Luke (guitarist), Del (Bass) and Scotty(Drums) lined up for their first gig after only 3 months of rehearsing. Their 7th gig was was at Alan McGees Death Disco in London thanks to the strength of a very early demo and a mutual friendship of the late Joe Strummer. This has led to a further 3 Death Disco appearances along with several other London dates at venues such as Dublin Castle and The Borderline (Q.I.D). KILLER ANGELS have supported Kasabain, The Subways and Towers of London to name just a few over the past 12 months along with an appearance at the Glasgow Carling Academy in front of 2000 people. Having also played the length and breadth of the UK the KILLER ANGELS have achieved in a very short period of time what the majority of bands could only dream of in a lifetime - and they're not finished yet. So, how do you pigeon hole KILLER ANGELS? Try thinking of a hard edged rock band that take riffs, hooks and solos out of the Hendrix and Page school of guitar, that is driven by a juggernaut rhythm section and has a front man that has the passion of Liam Gallaghers voice and swagger of Bobby Gillespie. There are moments you can hear a pin drop, followed by explosions of music that tear your ears apart. The Music but harder edged, Primal Scream at their rockiest, elements of Smashing Pumpkins, a band that are in the same genre as TCTC and The Hiss, the Led Zep of this generation? Who knows?

The past year has seen us bring in a whole new rhythm section, creating a more professional. harder working band Highlights for this summer has been 2 packed house storming set gigs at the borderline for Alan McGee and the Go North music industry festival witch we are still getting label feedback from. The weekend after Domino bones gig we go to diving bells studios in Glasgow to record with reindeer section member Marcus MacKay who has produce tracks on snow patrols last album etc. December and January will see the band take their 1st break from gigging in 2 years to concentrate on song writing and we will return to live playing on 25th jan at death disco Notting hill arts club. Killer Angels and mogwia are the only Scottish bands to play as regular as this for Alan McGee, in the past 12 months we have supported kasabien, towers of London, the subways, glitterati.
