Buffalo Son

i sometimes wonder where songs come from. they tend to be not so much conscious creations, but something one somehow finds within himself. i had a moment like that tonite while strumming my guitar in bed. i gave myself alcohol poisoning the other night and i'd vomited so heavily that I seem to have pulled something in my stomach. i was lying on my bed playing and singing because it hurt to do it sitting up. this is the next song i will work on.

i've decided that i need to start mailing out demos to places. i'm not quite sure where to start with this. i've never done it before. i found a list of independent labels in new york. maybe one of them will give me a home. i need to start being serious about that. i'm working on a song called 'my mind is made'.

i'm workin on puttin this record together. it's working title is 'when the clouds grew roots'. the more i labor forward, the less i enjoy the songs from the past. a curse. i'm weeding out my tunes until I'm happy with them all. when i'm happy, it will be done. it will be done, when i'm happy.
