don't look down
until you're ready to see
just how high above the ground you really are.

the view from up here
is sure a sight to see
but just remember there's a long way to fall.

and i wouldn't change a thing that i've done.
the journey here was worth the ride.
just keep your head above the water for a bit
till it recedes and we can breathe easy.
i would walk by the hills and smile
but now the mountains are replaced with
towers of steel and chrome and glass
