~Couldve done better~

Each second that goes by
Is another reason to lie to you, and
Sitting and wondering, guessing and pondering
I wish i knew what you were doing
Each footstep down this path
is another excuse to miss you, and
the shadow of this horizon
just seems to keep growing, and now
i notice this

I couldve dont better now, but i didnt really want to, i just wanted to stay here with you
Just shut the door behind you, or sit and lay with me, as we make it through
theres just one last thing i forget to say, i just wished this life would stay the same,but now, its all useless

So i SLAM the door behind me, and i regret everything we all just said, everything has gone to hell, cant you just stop and tell
but I couldve done better now, this is awfully nice weather now, lets forget about what we said, and move on the shadow

Now that things have changed, i dont know if i can say
things have gotten better and, friends are getting closer and
it seems the horizon is smaller now, so lets all remember this

we sat there and told each other, how we grew up
we took these footsteps together and, now im not regretting
