The Music Style



Well What Can I Say Punk-Metal? Or Pop-Punk-Rock Well I Suppose I Would Have To Say Its Up To You We Don't Really Know But We Are Not Saying We Have Invented A New Genre But We Can't Really Put A Name On It. To Describe It We Would Have To Say Rocky Beats, Fast Riffs But Also Some Little Metallica Like Solo Riffs From Fast To Slow And A Bit Of Funky Stuff To Suit As Many People As We Can We Really Hope You Like Our Music!





How KaTcH Was Formed



Lets See James Makin, Daniel Orchard & Adam Dainty All Knew Each Other Living Near By All Not Having Loads Of Experience But Wanting To Form A Band But Not Really Knowing Allot About Each Others Skills In Their Instruments And Were They Were At So Some How They All Got To It Making Songs Like They Never Thought Possible They Were Really Looking For A Drummer High And Low To Make Their Setup Complete They Found Some One Really Quick For A Gig They Had Lined Up Overall They Thought This Guy Was Not Really What They Wanted Unfortunately The Gig Didn't Happen Over The Drummer Leaving As He Was Only 13 And Didn't Feel He Could Do It After This James, Daniel & Adam Were Kind Of Upset And Annoyed After 8 Months James's Friend Stephen From St Helens College Gave Him This Contact On A Drummer He Knew Called Siy Westbrook He Was Overjoyed And Excited So He Called The Number And Arranged A Meeting At 6, O Clock On 5th Of November He Knew After Talking To Siy He Was Their Drummer To Be.

Your Probably Thinking What Is This About Well Were We Practice Or Jam As You May Call It Well We Don't Go No Were Fancy Or Anywhere That Costs Anything Just In Siy's Room Its All We Have Got But We All Love It We Also Record In Their Too Which Gives It That Edge And No Its Not Bad Quality Its Rather Good. What We Have In That Room Well The Basics Like A 12 Channel Mixer, 200Watt Amplifier & A MiniDisc Recorder Also Things Like 2 Mic Stands And AKG Mic's To Make It All Complete Is The Instruments We Have Bass 2 Guitars And Percussion/Drums And If You Want to Be Funny Vocals. Who Does What Well Siy On Drums, James On Guitar & Vocals, Also On Guitar And Adam On Bass & Vocals.





Were Are We & What We Want



I Had To Ask Us All This And No We Are Not Just Going To Give You The Old We Want To Be Famous But We Want Gigs To Show What We Can Do And Have Fun Doing What We Love That's What Its All About Isn't It? But One Day We Would Like To Get Something For It So We Can Stay Alive And Keep Producing Songs For You We Will Work Hard For What We Want We Are Already Doing Very Well Getting More & More Gigs From Time To Time And Already Recorded Good Quality Demos And Other Little Things And We Will Carry On.





Our Setup & Tech Equipment



Lets Start Off With Were We Jam And Record Its Basically Siy's Room We Have Just About Enough Room And We All Love It. What We Have In Their Well To Start Off With We Have A UB-1204-FX PRO Mixer Desk & A MX2004A Both Behringer Then We Have An Inter M R300 Amp And Some 300Watt 15" Speakers And To Record All That We Have A Fostex VF160EX Digital Recorder & Computer Mp3 Recording Facility And A Mix Down Multi Tracks Studio Also The Little Things Like 3 XM1800S Microphones Behringer Again.





New Line-up (Update)



After Almost A Year Now Adam Dainty Our Old Bassist Decides Its Not His Place To Be On The Stage With KaTcH And We All Noticed It Was Not Going All Too Well So We Gave Him Some Chances And In The End All Was Sorted Out And He Left We All Miss Him But We Know Theirs Other Opportunities Out Their For Him After That We Got To Know A Band Called (Via 30 Steps) With A Bassist Called Vinny Guess What .... Now We Have Vinny Playing For KaTcH Loving Every Second Of It.



New Line-up (Update2)



Just recently Daniel Orchard decides to leave KaTcH as he has other commitments and doesn't have enough time to for fill KaTcH's needs as a lead guitarist. we will miss him allot and will still carry on doing those funky riffs he banged out, taking his place will be Neil Murphy from Penketh we just hope he can get into it.
