Extreme Attitude Bio: The band dates back to March 2002, formed initially by José António and Isack. After many and eventful jam sessions, Márcio, a childhood friend of the two, joined the band. Together they decided to get a real band together. After much discussion, they also decided they wanted a singer. Márcio suggested Ruby, a close friend with strong musical ties in her family; Ruby’s cousin, Aires Pereira, is one of the best-known Portuguese bass-players, and a great inspiration to her. He is currently playing with Moonspell, internationally known Portuguese metal band. Ruby and Márcio had performed together before, and her Soul-Rock voice would fit the band’s sound perfectly. « Lets just call it a big fusion. We’re perfectionists and constantly push ourselves further. We always believe we can do better, and the band’s name is true to our work; we have extreme attitudes concerning our music, and they give us strength to battle on with our dreams of succeeding in the music industry» (Ruby) From that moment on, they focused and worked hard towards their first goal: the Antena 3 Super Rock, a prestigious local music contest. They qualified for the 3-band final and finished 2nd overall. With this result the band realized they could dream higher, but also that something was missing to help them reach the levels of performance and composing they desired. That’s when Vítor, a band friend, joined the quartet; things fell into place, he brought greater expression and versatility to the band’s sound.
