This song is taken from a poem my uncle wrote back in the 70's. I instantly wrote the music to this poem and it's become one of my favorite songs. To me this song is about losing a partner through separation or death. I'm not sure what it means to my uncle. I've never asked him. The original poem was much longer than the song.

This is an up tempo song used in my 'Cold Jack' set. This song has a nice sax solo in it.

I was messing around with some ideas with some of my old band members (basically just a few chord sequences) when I came up with this music after they left. The song has gone through many changes including having the lyrics completely re-writen. This song is about not putting up with a bad relationship. I had no-one in mind when I wrote this song, it's just a story.
