Orius Bio:

Orius are a rock band hailing from Stourbridge, West Midlands. With a head banging, foot stomping grind, they have already begun to captivate the wide range of people who have so far witnessed the band live. Steering away from genres and pigeonholes the band have built a steady base upon no nonsense riffs and a rock and roll mentality.

The 4 piece comprises
Gaz Greenhalgh - 23, Vocals
Matt Lees - 23, Guitar
Chris Wilson - 21, Bass
Ross Taylor - 25, Drums

Matt, Gaz and Chris first came together in the spring of 2003 when they met on a bus ride to Stourbridge. With Matt and Chris both attending Wolverhampton University at the time, and Gaz just finished, they embarked upon forming a band that not only had a universal rock feel, but that also incorporates each members own offerings and influences. Ross joined the band at the start of 2005 after the original drummer, Mike York, left to pursue other interests.

The band has so far recorded 3 EP’s, which have both sold widely across the region. The second EP ‘Black Turn Grey’ was released in the spring of 2004. The launch night saw Orius play a blistering live set and sell out of the EP within minutes.

The latest EP ‘The Document’ was launched on the eve of the Christmas period, and is already receiving critical acclaim. The band are currently touring the EP until the already penned date for their fourth release this summer.
