Iman Williams Bio:
Iman Williams would like to call herself one of the most eclectic underground singers never heard at the age of 24.For many years, Iman Williams’s has been involved in music.Iman started out at the age of 6, playing the piano, writing songs, and singing.Eventhough, her God given talent has always been drawing, Iman still managed to focus more on expressing her feelings and thoughts through music. Being born in the 80’s, Iman found a lot of comfort in music presented by Peter Gabriel, Madonna, David Lee Roth, Paula Abdul, Talking Heads, Whitney Houston, and The Cars. Because of who she admired in the music business at the time, Iman was teased horribly. Therefore, she was driven to become familiar with more genres of music.Iman soon after got a taste of Biz Markie, A Tribe Called Quest, Leaders of a New School,Kid ‘N’ Play, and Mc Lyte, which are all Hip-Hop trendsetters. Then later, she was introduced to Ray Charles, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Teddy Pendergrass, Roy Ayers, Patti Labelle, Babyface, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong. As the years rolled by Iman became more and more infatuated with music from the lovely crescendos of Aretha Franklin to the grimey sounds of Slum Village. |
