The Longshots Bio: www.thelongshots.co.uk A Brief History of The Longshots Formed in late 2002. The Longshots embarked on a mission to bring underground Rock 'n' Roll music to the ears of their hometown of Leeds, West Yorkshire. Our heroes powered onwards and upwards, converting people to their infectious brand of Punk injected Rock 'n' Roll, which eventually led to reaching out beyond the confines of the overpopulated Leeds music scene to venues far and wide. This included playing the 2003 Carling Festival and a Seven date UK mini-tour in the Autumn of 2004, gaining a whole host of new fans. Along the way the band have had two CD's releases and number of tracks selected for compilation CDs/DVDs. The 'Million To One E.P' was recorded at the end of 2003 on a shoe-string budget at House of Mook Studios, Leeds, only one year after the band formed. Stand out track “On The Inside” gained radio play in the North as did lead track “Ex-Girlfriends” which was highly regarded by college radio over in the U.S. The follow up mini-album 'What Doesn't Kill Us' was released in 2005 and was again recorded at House of Mook Studios, but this time mastered at the Billiard Rooms, Leeds by Carl Rosamund. There was also a 'download only' track called 'Here We Go Again' from the same recording session, which is available 'free of charge' from the official website and selected third party music sites such as Myspace.com.
