STONER Bio:

Trippy hooks, sweet ballads and frenzied jams to leave your senses tingling.

STONER began on a sunny September afternoon in 1997 as a jam between life-long pals JM Gellatly and Marc Viger with their friend and drummer Denis Boutet.

This evolved into a regular open-jam with all of the sessions being recorded and a wealth of material being created. The band jokingly threatens to release it all one day as a 50-CD box set!

Come the summer of 2001, former Cottage Industry bassist/guitarist Neil Ross arrived in Montreal. His contribution consolidated the group's unique sound. The band released their self-titled debut CD this past October (2004).
