WEBSLiNGER Bio:
After his high school sweetheart died, five days after they got married, Tony Webslinger left Jacksonville, Florida-where he grew up-and moved back to his birthplace NYC. He played in a few bands there before moving to Los Angeles, California to make, what he calls "neck-snapping cock rock".
Tony Webslinger got his start in 1995 co-producing N.K.O.T.B. (New Kids on the Block) with Greg Nice. Later, he produced the songs Changes and Share My Life for the internationally renowned techno dance group Inner City. The song "Dirty Underwear" was inspired by a few dances with Madonna, that Tony had a pleasure to have, in a dance club in NYC called The World. The song is about a sex kitten that is beautiful on the outside but has some dirty laundry in her closet-underneath all that beauty.
WEBSLiNGER does the writing, arranging, producing and singing for the band while Alain Laporte (guitar), Steve DeBoard (drums) and Mike O’Hayden (guitar, bass) makes up the rest of the band.
WEBSLiNGER’s musical inspiration includes his father, Chris A. Hall, who penned lyrics to the jazz classic, So What (music-Miles Davis, vocals-Eddie Jefferson), Nirvana, Korn, Chris Cornell, Metallica and Jimi Hendrix.
