Howie and The Cubans Bio:
After three years of an acoustic trio “talk tonight”, enough talent had been put aside doing covers and with a head full of songs Howie decided it was time to let out all the lyrics and tunes that had been banging around in his head for so long and made a break, intending to pursue a solo invasion of the followers he had attracted in the past.
So many pieces of paper, so many words, how can I give these the justice they so clearly deserve! I need to find some Cubans!!!
So after learning about a local studio, off he went with acoustic guitar in hand on a mission to bring to life the dream he had wanted for so long. Those little pieces of scribbled on paper were about to come to life.
Two of the soon to be members sat quietly listening to the guitar and the soft but powerful voice of Howie as he strummed away singing his words, eyes shut and meaning every syllable. It didn’t take long for a cymbol and a snare to start fitting in from the back of the room, Lee Cooper was clearly ready to be a part of this phenomenon, shortly followed by the wizardry of Daz Bean on lead guitar. So it was, the backbone had sprung up and was eager to be complete.
Luckily the answer was right there as three experienced musicians entered the building , old friends of Howie as it happens . Just as keen to be playing, it began, John on his keyboards, Trev on the bass and Baz on his Bongo’s.
So there off, HOWIE & THE CUBANS, deep meaningful lyrics, all written by Howie, all telling a story of experiences he has lived, powerful and personal lyrics put across by good quality musicians
