King Tuesday Bio: King Tuesday is a band that seems to create its own genre. With one foot firmly planted in rock, and the other dancing between alternative, jam, blues and hip hop, King Tuesday delivers a sound that is uniquely its own and an unmatched level of energy on stage. King Tuesday released their first studio EP “Wishes” March 27th 2010, which featured a cameo appearance from Big Jess of the Unknown Prophets. History By the turn of the millennium Andy “Benny” Benson and Joe “Kontrol” Ferguson were playing the underground Minneapolis Hip-Hop scene with DJ Bill “E” Goat as the trio “Shades of Darkness”. Relying on a large fan base and playful lyrical stylings, they quickly came into their own. As time progressed though they began to crave a richer sound and sought out a live band. Guitar player Ryan Musch-Pearce had been playing guitar with raw progressive rock stylings with a heavy blues influence since high school in the foothills of Winona, MN. A chance employment opportunity paired him with the guys from Shades of Darkness in the Twin Cities and they started talking about putting together a group. They added veteran musicians Shawn Hels on drums, Rob Parkos on the bass and the lovely and talented Chelsea Csargo on vocals. Chelsea was added at first as a back-up singer, but has evolved into one-third of a very talented vocal team. King Tuesday was formed in the fall of 2007. Playing a steady regiment of live shows and festivals throughout the Twin Cities & Upper mid-west, King Tuesday has always and will continue to bring a high energy spirit along with well conceived music and positive, intelligent lyrical content. |
