FROM their earliest childhood memories the members of JYNXT have been involved with music and were even writing songs at the age of 10 and 12. Their father Jeremy Spencer, (Former and founding member of Fleetwood Mac), always had music in the house wether it was jamming with other musicians, writing songs or teaching them how to compose and write music.

However as they grew up and went their separate ways, forming a band together was something that was not on their agenda. Ben went off to college to study art, Rick went to University, Tally went off to Italy, why?! Don't know perhaps because the weather's nicer, the foods better, the men are good looking and they have siesta in the middle of the day. Nat however worked with his Dad as a technician/producer in his studio learning the ins and outs of music production.

Both Ben and Nat started up their own bands and did a bit of gigging here and there whilst maintaining a mediocre job, Ben worked as a painter and decorator, Nat was a Graphic Designer for an Ad agency, Rick was still studying and Tally, well she was still in Italy. Whilst doing the London circuit with their bands Ben and Nat couldn't help but notice the lack of musical originality that was out there, few bands were venturing past the traditional style line-up with guitar, bass, drums, singer and in November of 1999 they quit there old bands moved in together cleared out their garage bought a computer and started experimenting with Garage, Drum 'n' bass and jungle drum beats.

It wasn't long before they realised that they couldn't quite forsake their guitar roots and as a result have come up with a sort of fusion of styles mixing guitar riffs with sampled beats and loops, yet keeping with traditional methods of song writing. Finding a singer was not easy they both tried but found that their talent was not in their voices and it wasn't until about a year later that they heard a demo of their little sister singing in Italy and immediately asked her if she'd like to come and join them. The last one to join the band was Rick who funny enough was a professional DJ and had been DJing for clubs all over the world. Armed with this new input of talent the unique JYNXT sound was created.
