I've started working on booking gigs. This always has a deleterious effect on the rest of my life. Seriously - I find it very nerve wracking - all the talking to new people, viewing my music and by extension myself as a salable (or less saleable) commodity, the competition with unseen unknown musicians... Not something I like. I love to perform, however. Was is Steve Miller who said "You've got to go through Hell before you get to Heaven." Well here we are. Where do you think we are along that particular mystical continuum at this point?
