Pretty Pictures Bio:
Pretty Pictures is a splendid musical montage from Buffalo, New York. With countless musical influences being brought together, Pretty Pictures is jumping forward with advancements in innovation. The band’s birth was conceived in the autumn of 2010 when the group formed in a college music class. Initially, guitarist Tyler Gagliardi was going to be the band’s front man; upon meeting Jen Palmer their current vocalist, Tyler felt obliged to switch over to guitar after hearing her voice. The switch over to guitar made Tyler the third guitarist in the band. This decision at first seemed unnecessary, but with time the three guitarists worked in multiple layers of guitar parts that fused many different styles. Thus, a wall of unearthly tones and dimensions emerged. Guitarists Nate Rosenburg, Anthony Fadale and Tyler Gagliardi all have their own unique blend of influences that give the band a very unique sound. With lots of post-rock, post-hardcore and ambient influence, the guitar layers are all brought together in a rich orchestration of sound. Bassist Rich Robinson adds a complete dimension of groove to the concoction which complements the compositions significantly. The band recorded their first demo at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, New York where artists such as The Gym Class Heroes recorded, and many others. The band plans to finish up their album and get immense recognition locally and worldwide. |
