Traquair Bio:
You may already know the basics, I was born in Pretoria, South Africa and spent my childhood in the sunshine, using vinyl records as a means of transportation and generally crying a lot. My Scottish born parents decided to move back to their homeland after nine years and my teenage years were spent the only way you can in Glasgow really, going to school and listening to the elders singing the same songs over and over at family gatherings. Although never joining in, it was here that a love for music and singing was curetted. One rather unassuming day my dad bought me a beat up £15 guitar and showed me how to play the House of the Rising Sun. There was no
looking back. I had found my new best friend.Fast forward a few years and we have arrived at my third long playing album 'Disposability of an Arrogant Age'. The record was conceived on a simple notion, that broken bones are no substitute for the times we live in. Make of that what you will but there comes a time when the music you are playing has to change and for me this is the time. We all have to say goodbye to the past at some point and embrace the future.
