As for other stuff...
I don't really know what to say here. My name is Jacob. Since I was a kid, I wanted to front a band. I was very awkward, and thought I could never sing. Well... Even after I sloughed off that awkward kid thing and grew some real confidence, nothing happened. From there, I still never completely embraced the idea that music could be mine... until just recently. Just as 2010 started, Hecatonchires was finally born, as I decided to pursue this on my own, instead of waiting for anything (or anyone) else to come together. (glad I waited at least a bit, my other band names were awful, and it took me a while to just stick with my gut)
Currently, I'm the member. Some of my friends and hopeful bandmates help a little, hopefully a lot more, and will hopefully become permanent members for both production and shows.

Things are going well. I have a track completed. In 2 months time, I cranked that out, sans experience. I got it as I did it. I've been learning. Constantly. And I intend to keep learning.
I'm making this happen.


And anyone, anyone at all who can do anything and likes what I'm doing... get in touch. I could always use help, inspiration, additional talent. Anything at all.

In the next weeks:
I want album art for "Mala Fides", my debut album, completed.
I want production of album materials, like jewel cases and full color glossy sleeves developed.
I want to finish "Patricide's Pawn," including mastering, and hopefully a second track finished.
(Patricide's pawn is done, and (very poorly) mastered. so I'm getting there.)

In the next months:
I want to completely assemble the "Mala Fides" albums, printed on full gloss, high quality paper.
I want to complete and master the entire album, I'm aiming for 5+ tracks.
I need to get money together for pressing CD's/vinyl. Found great places, great prices, 100ish ltd vinyl run on clear, 1000 CDs for right around 2k..
Shortly after album completion, I want to begin practicing and setting up for live shows, including obtaining a piano and PA. If it boils right down to it, I'll end up playing like, piano over pre-recorded and singing, but I'm really hoping to net some real bandmates, or at least some musicians who like me enough to play live with me by then, because I'm sure pre-recorded is one of those lol pathetic kind of things.

In the next year: I want to be doing SHOWS. And writing TONS. I want to tour, or at least play a lot locally, and advertise. And of course, a little bit after my album is released, it will be available as a torrent to download for free, or "pay what you want" in addition to of course being able to order/buy the actual CD or vinyl album from me.
those will be significantly less free.
