Morris Taylor Bio:
I've heard it said that the greater the talent the more it longs for an audience. I’ll let mine speak for itself but will say playing live is what I love most about being a musician. It's where the MAGIC happens. The roars and screams of a crowd puts me in a zone as I pull out the cork and just release into the vibes of the moment. To me at this point it's not the quantity of gigs but the quality of the gig. This is going to take a while so set back, grab a snack and let me tell you about my quest to find the downhill side of the rainbow. I've always been a musician. Or so it seems. As a small child at the age of six or seven or so I would get my spoons and butter knife placed over a sheet of paper. Sit at the kitchen table and go for it. The Lord blessed me with a serious sense of rhythm. Using my back hands as the bass drum, my thumb as the snare and fingers as the symbols I would put on a concert. The beats were on time, fresh and I just use to groove for hours in my own World. I am also am an excellent dancer. An athletic dancer. What I mean is I don't stand on my head or nothing but when I do dance the crowd gives me much love and attention. The long hair I will admit I do look freaky. I say I'm Tall, Dark and Mysteriously Handsome. But yeah, I do look freaky. But I just love it. When I ride in my van every one that see's me has a different reaction. I just don't like scaring people. Especially children or the elderly. My life changed forever when my brother Frank brought home from college this album. Jimi Hendrix and a Band Of Gypsies. First song I heard from Jimi was" Machine Gun". I had never heard anything like it. His solo's were and still are from another place other than Earth. Not sure where his Essence came from out there in Outer Space but its show nuff OUTTHERE. Honestly it scared me at first. But didn't take me long at all to get hooked on Jimi. To me HE IS THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL. A KINGS KING. My life has not been the same since. So I got real serious about playing guitar. I used to go to sleep with it on my lap quite often. If I could go on tour and play a whole lot more ain't no tellen I tell you. As much as I love Jimi, I am not trying to be another Jimi. I am going to be better. I and F (IF) is such a very small word to be, the dividing line between what's real and fantasy. But IF, I had a manager, one that would help me find and fulfill my destiny, I promise you all that I will respectfully "Rock This World Like No Other, Several Times Over. Feel free to contact me and again IF you know of someone that will get me to this Next Level we will be partners. Thanks for reading all this stuff. Ill stop now but got lots more on my mind. My Motto, "I'll See You, Somewhere, Someway, Somehow, Someday. Just remember that life is so short and I am just a man. I pray that I don't just come and go without the chance to at least say Hello. That is give you all my best. Cause I got so much music to get out of my head, off of my chest and onto a platform to be heard. |
