The journey - new track
Hi, finally finished another track, the Journey began life at a residency with PaePae and a group of dancers from many different stylistic backgrounds. The percussion loop is taken from a jam session at the start of the weekend. I worked on the track and the general feel of it was inspired by the dancers and all their different styles.
Paepae recorded the vocals later and explained that the words are about a man on a long journey in which many things have to be faced, but like a lion in the forest - the rabbit should run away.
Thanks again to PaePae and all the 'Beyond Borders' dancers and percussionists. And especially thanks to Kim for all her dedication.
