Full Moon Blanket
Full Moon Blanket Bio:

Full Moon Blanket has been growing, adapting, and maturing for several years. During this time, the group has established a name with a professional reputation always associated with good music. Singer, songwriter, Tim Kelly, with help from his brother/partner Jon hooked up with composer/bass player Matt Phillips to create a new original sound.

FMB has worked to find its voice in a sea of original rock-n-roll acts. Born the love child of classic rock and modern alterna-grunge, the band’s early days saw a garage band evolve into a more progressive college group. The voice of the band has changed as well, from classic power singers to slick, melodic female vocals; the voices changed as the band evolved. Until now, the band continues to evolve, but with a talented and devoted new voice. After years of making harmonic magic, singing backups (as well as writing plenty of lyrics), the ultimate front man is born…from the guitar player (who knew?).

Operating as a four-piece for years, the new millennium saw the band in a new light, with founding members Jon and Tim, and Matt Phillips, who joined the brothers (with a previous vocalist) in 2000. The trio began focusing on new material that highlights the many styles the band has traversed, with longtime songwriter and guitarist Tim, now doubling as lead vocalist; the result was a vocal on par and inseparable from the quirky, soulful music of the band.

Another first is just that, another debut album from the group with a familiar name. It is also the final premier from the band that has matured and found its sound

Light my candle in a hurricane posted: 21 Sep 2004 11:03 AM
Well this time we lit our candle in a hurricane....literally!!! Thanks to all you hardcore guys that were at the Nick the other night. It was a weird gig for obvious reasons, but it was still fun to play on a larger stage. Don't forget about Marty's on Oct.1; we haven't been there in quite a while, and it'll be fun to see Marty again. We have a tendency to hang out at whichever club we're playing next, so having not played at Marty's unfortuantely means we haven't really been to Marty's. That's undoubtably about to change. And a good thing too, my mouth's already watering over the thought of one of his cheeseburgers. (cheeeeessse buuurrrgeeerrr aghghghghel) So anyways got any cool stories/pics/opinions from the hurricane? If so e-mail them to me (matt@fullmoonblanket.com) and I'll see about getting them on the website!!! There has to be some stories about trees falling on stuff, and power going out, and the insane news hype that made us all think we were facing armageddon. And you know what? I'm just warped enough to want to hear all of them! And don't forget about the CD which is now at a low price at www.cdbaby.com/fullmoonblanket. And when I say low I mean less than half what you pay for a cd at a store. I mean look-between-the-cusions low! And you can still talk to Smokey and Drew (locals@wrax.com) at the X or Monk (monk@z1005.com) at Z100.5 about playing us on their weekend local shows (107.7; Local at Eleven, Sudays at 11:00p.m. : 100.5; Indiez only; Saturdays at 10:00p.m.). I'm tellin' ya. that stuff works! And keep all suggestions, comments, donations, and food stamps coming to matt@fullmoonblanket.com Peace, Matt Full Moon Blanket
