WOODEN JESUS Bio:
Wooden Jesus sounds exactly like nothing out there right now. With the right vehicle this band could definitely do something great. With strong influences from Down, Corrosion of Conformity, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Alice in Chains, Megadeth, and many, many, more, the songs, musicianship, and passion for good music are all very apparent. What amazes me is there is almost a music scene going on around here but the only thing that lacks is honesty and something different, raw. From guys wearing their sisters pants with side mullets to people painting their faces, doing the robot or screaming with a mouth full of marbles. This band was formed by two cousins with a sick and twisted OBSESSION with great music. Once Wooden Jesus really started to take shape we knew it had to be a group of friends to make it great so we called Roger Guajardo who is like a Nick Menza/Matt Cameron/Danny Carey/Vinnie Paul blended into one, bar none one of the best drummers around. Andrew went from being a phenomenal guitar player, to a great vocalist whos vocals and tone just straight up fucking make the hair stand on the back of my neck sometimes, and he fucking shreds! Kev Minor is a chill guy that is already bringing a lot of great **** to the table, hes taken this power trio to a fucking full blown wall of sound. |
