Allegory Road - "Remember Me" |
Remember Me In a faded photograph discovered just the other day was a memory and it made me think of you Concealed within that image somewhat faded and obscure Forgotten memories of a time when I was sure. But time…it just doesn’t seem is ever on my side, I just abide. And Life…is just a river flowing wild that we must ride, Nowhere to hide And I wonder…do you still…remember me. Staring at the phone I wonder should I call you up, But I’m not quite sure exactly what I’d say. And looking at that picture I am suddenly unsure, So long ago- it seems like yesterday. And time…is a train that keeps on screaming down the tracks You can’t turn back. And Life…is full of open doors we can’t go through We never do And I wonder…do you still…remember me. (break) Time holds your picture in my mind, That I only seem able to unwind, Those memories of you…keep pouring through Playing over and over and over again and again Never quite fading away. And now I sit at home with just a faded photograph…I have to laugh. Now when with eyes wide open and now at last I see What you meant to me… Now I wondering…if you still, I’m still thinking… how you feel, My Heart’s hoping…that you still…remember me. |
