JOLLY Bio:

JOLLY is a progressive rock quartet from Brooklyn, NY, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Anadale, bassist Mike Rudin, keyboardist Joe Reilly, and drummer Louis Abramson. The band’s primary goal is to create unbelievable music and an intriguing image that everyone will like.

Some of JOLLY’s influences include Depeche Mode, Doves, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Mike Patton, Muse, Tears For Fears, Meshuggah, Dream Theater, Bjork, Tool, Prince, and Type-O Negative. With such a wide range of musical influences, JOLLY has managed to create a sound that is both original and attainable. There is something for all music listeners in an original JOLLY work. JOLLY’s universal nature will put a stop to the ongoing fragmentation of rock audiences. Fans of the genre will be reunited.

JOLLY's first recordings, The Revolutionary Cult Demo Finally Hits the US, were released in September 2008. This three song demo showcases the vision that JOLLY has set out to achieve. Layers of thick instrumentation are melded with heavy grooves, ambience, and eerie soundscapes, producing an unsettling and beautiful atmosphere. It successfully displays the band's ability to create dynamic tones, mood and sounds.
