From the Central Coast of New South Wales comes Australia's newest most exciting metal act Pergamum. With an average age of 17 to date, things are looking on the up more and more each day for this young quintet.

Supporting and touring with such established acts like Bring me The Horizon (UK), I Killed The Prom Queen, The Red Shore, The Ghost Inside (US), Wish for Wings, The Rivalry and Deez Nuts already, their mark is being left in metal circles all over the country and also leaving crowds who would normally not be considered a market no choice but to show appreciation for this talented unique young band.

The band has taken infuence from a wide range of styles like Modern day Metalcore, Thrash, Traditional sounds and Progressive queue's. This mixed with their own breed of tunes, plus the intense stageshow which involves front man Jake Dobson ordering the crowd into a frenzy is what the band is about and this doesnt matter if they are playing to 100 kids or 1000, they always bring the same intensity to the forefront. Pergamum is your straight up genuine band. This shines through with their strong beliefs in God. The band are proud to be Christians and hope people can take something positive away from their uplifiting lyrics.

After been together for only a few months in 2007, they still managed to bring a lot of attention and early 2008 saw them picked up by Managment and Booking Agency Soundplanet Music. This has opened up a lot of new doors for the band and will see they have a very busy touring schedule for the next few years promoting their debut album. With promoters, labels, endorsements flocking in from everywhere all over the country, you could say the boys are going to be sticking around for a while.
