We played our first concert on Saturday 17th March, in front of 700 people. We are also working on a four track Ep, soon to be released for free.

Ceri Turner - Guitarist extrodinaire, provides as a lead guitarist. Hes mastering the sweep picking at the moment and uses it where needs be, favoring the diminished an minor shape giving the solos a synyster feel. with the ideas down, the duo of Tripp and Turner are unstoppable.

Will Tripp - Musical Genious, a fiend, acts as a solid rhythm guitarist for the band. Known as the New Frank Iero. He has a huge amount of stage presence and gets the crowd pumping every single time.

Oli Brice - The craziest drum machine you will ever hear, ear splitting solos and steady beats, awesome. Using his metal roots, oli has been able to master the double kick and has the prescision of an archer on beta-blockers.

Angus Salloway - The most dangerous kid with a microphone in his hand, and WWE fanatic (own signature move: "The Spangle Slam"). He, aswell as will demants a huge amount of stage presence, and has all of the qualities needed to make an awsomely talented frontman.

Xands Conway - Play bass and keys, specialises in hardcore organ metal, he is known as the J.S. Bach of the rock world. With his classical input into the writing processes, we have an hint of neo classicals masterpieces, which also translate over to the lead guitar solos. He also keeps a solid driving bass track and occasionally dabbels into some slap bass.

The Band was formed by Xands in Late 2006, he hired Will Tripp as the resident guitarist and then got in touch with his contacts and bought some more life to the band. From this moment in time we built up the Band as a BOTB project, and have been playing heavy, raw, organ pices ever since! Although we did run into trouble picking people especially a drummer, but in the end we found: Oli Brice, he's amazing! We play because we like it and it's fun, competition is no object to us. Although we started out as a Battle Of The Bands project, things have recently got a bit more serious with some new awesome riffs we are well on the way to recording our EP, we will soon have recorded our first 2 songs.

The name is also sepcial: The Great Danton, it is based around Lord Georges Danton - A French Revolutionary leader who opposed the reign of terror and supported the execution of Louis XVI.

Currently, we have just finished "Famous Last Words" and our orignial "Formation Parody" and we are recording those this weekend. With two more ideas in progress, we hope to have the EP ready for distribution on the web very, very soon.
