Neko Neko Bio:
Neko Neko is 21 year old, Manchester based, producer/musician Graham Shortland. Graham showed interest in music at a very early age, nagging his dad to play records over and over again untill they were worn out. First picked up a guitar at a very early age but broke a string, embarrassed i didn't play again untill i was 13 and i've never put it down since.
Played in bands at school, learning bass, drums and piano along the way. Bored with bands i was playing in i started writing and recording my own material aged 15 on a battered old 4-track tape machine. I worked under the name Anniseed for a while and recorded an EP and an album that will never see the light of day! Although they were never released these were the songs that i started to develop my sound and skills as a writer, producer and musicain.
I started working under the name Neko Neko in 2006 and released my dubet EP "Sporks & foons" and played Manchesters furturesonic festival 2007. Currently working on my first album titled "My favourite sound is orange" scheduled for release in June 2008 and practising for gigs in the summer, so watch my website for news and a more in depth bio. |
