Boomjack Bio:
Emerging from the suburbs of Chicago, Boomjack was formed in 2002 when brothers Mike and Ed Carlson teamed up with bassist Gary Willison and vocalist Ken Blank to form a rock band that was totally original. In the following months the band tried out many drummers before they finally came across John Berg, who fit perfectly in their mix. Quickly, they began to write music and fine-tune their sound by playing in various clubs in the Chicagoland area.
Stylistically, Boomjack features an array of influences by bands like Nirvana, Sublime, The Ramones and Bad Religion and local favorites such as Lucky Boys Confusion, Swizzle Tree and The Dog and Everything. As Mark Lush of Midwestbands.com said in his review of their demo, "Do everyone in the world of Rock and Roll a favor, and take a listen to Boomjack!" |
