Under Darkest Skies is ambient, trancy, heavy and melodic gelling many different stlyes of music into one. Experimentation and being diverse within our music is our ultimate goal, being truely different keeps us from being pigeon-toed into one specific genre of metal for UDS can fit within a few different catagorys. Under Darkest Skies cares not for any type of trends and is in no way influenced by any.

History/Biography
Under Darkest Skies is a band that creates music from the heart based upon passion and emotion or the lack there of...Under Darkest Skies blends a mixture of psychedelic rock, doom/goth, atmosperic, melodic, into a depressing mix...The lyrical content contains abstract dark imagery forged together with short story telling with the subjects of: Lost faith, fantasy and desire, personal woe and tragedy, and curiosity surrounding death. Under Darkest Skies was created by Steven and Adam as a collaborative recording project in early 2004 with the intention of being experimental and adding alot of emotion to their music that they felt was lacking in much of music today...
Under Darkest Skies's song "Spirit Skyway And The Scent Of Angel's Breath" was chosen by the staff at Goth Metal World (France) (link in link section) to participate in a competition for a spot on a compilation album. Only 40 bands were chosen UDS being one of them. UDS has made the final round of voting.
Under Darkest Skies has released three singles on the EP titled "Wake Me For My Eulogy" The prior song title listed has gotten it's fair share of air-play and on www.metalmusic.net it was the #1 requested song for three full weeks in the month of July2004, and was in the top 3 position and drew over 160 listener requests for the month of August2004....The second single released by UDS "Spirit Skyway and The Scent of Angel's Breath" drew 56 listener requests in under two minutes time once it was announced that the station had it on Metal Music Radio in Florida and also has hit #1 on the request chat for October and had drawn over 150 listener requests in October and was #1 for November and December. "Spirit Skyway" was one of the top three requested songs on that station in 2004 only Finland's Nightwish drew more requests than Under Darkest Skies. In the first few hours of "The Architecture of Winter" release the short song brought in 77 listener requests. Under Darkest Skies also moderated their own section dedicated to them in MMR's forum. In early 2005 "Spirit Skyway" was the #1 requested song up until the end of Feb. when the station suddenly disappeared. After some site construction they are back
UDS also gets a fair amount of air-play on Radio Take Over out of New Jersey averaging two to three plays a day.
Under Darkest Skies has also been listed as a featured artist many, many times on download.com's music section (doom-metal genre) where UDS's music has been downloaded over 4,250 times since late October 2004 and recieved three five out of five star reviews and five overall five star band ratings and has also been listed as a "hot download" once.
Under Darkest Skies has recieved comparissons to the bands Katatonia and Tool (doom-metal.com forum) on posted forums, chat rooms, and reviews they have also recieved comparissons to the likes of Pink Floyd and Anathema for their use of atmosphere.
UDS has seen their three songs post good numbers on many Mp3 sites also, with "Wake Me For My Eulogy" posting five #1's on audiostreet.net in the gothic metal chart (#26 overall metal) and "Spirit Skyway" posting three peak positions at #2 in the same genre catagory with "Architecture of Winter" posting a high of #4. Our newest song "On Through A Fractured Forest" a high of #2 so far with a #1 debut on the doom/stoner metal new song chart
"Spirit Skyway" also debuted and peaked at #1 on Mp3unsigned and has a rating of 8.5 stars out of a 10 star rating system and "Wake Me For My Eulogy" debuted and peaked at #3 as well on that site and has been rated 9 stars out of 10 with all three songs averaging a rating of 9 out of 10. The fourth UDS track "On Through A Fractured Forest" debuted at #4 and has peaked at #1 on the metal chart
"Wake Me For My Eulogy" has also been #1 on vitaminic.com in the doom-metal genre (#4 overall metal)where as "Spirit Skyway" was thrust into the artist "Spotlight" and remained there for months.
On metalhordes.com "Wake Me For My Eulogy" has been ranked #2 in the doom genre with "Skyway" also being ranked a top 10 song in the doom genre on that site.....
