Formed in 2001 by Jon Osing, Kevin Weith and Drew Weir, Three on the Tree didn't get around to playing their first gig until July 2002 at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago. In September of 2003, they released "Main Street in a Foreign Land", and supported the album for all of 2004. They spent 2005 in the studio working on "Dust in the Water", which was released January 13, 2006.
With the release of "DITW", the band began an ambitious promotional effort, which resulted in airplay on Chicago stations WXRT and WLUW, WTPS in Wisconsin (where DITW went to number 2 on the local music charts), as well as radio stations in Belgium and Australia. The band continues to play in Chicago and the midwest, and is always writing and refining their sound.
