The Green Street Three
The Green Street Three Bio:

"It was in the smoky Cavern Club in Liverpool (made famous by The Beatles) that the Manchester based rock outfit "The Green Street Three" first came to my attention. The three members; Adam Perrott, Johnny Evans and Dave Curley had, some months earlier, started writing and practicing new material. The band followed a tame & somewhat forgettable supporting punk act which had failed to impressive the crowd. An electric set which saw TGST performing new songs such as 'Anthem I', 'Your Love' and 'The Way I Feel Today' had the packed out venue buzzing. Perrott then changed to his acoustic guitar and grasped his harmonica for the soaring 'Lost Cause' and the folksy crowd-pleaser 'Born to Make Life Easy'. A clear gift with connecting with an audience is just one of the many talents with which Perrott is blessed. As he attacked the final chord of 'Born to make Life Easy', Curley began his drum intro to 'Get High'. The song is a triumph which clearly displays just how talented this three piece band are. Evans drives the verses with a fuzz bass which shakes the whole venue. A final song to a gig which clearly announced the fact that The Green Street Three has arrived."
Review taken from NFN Magazine 2004

The Green Street Three are a Manchester based rock outfit. Influenced by a diverse range of musical tastes such as Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Iron Maiden, Nina Simone & Jeff Buckley. In late 2001 the band recorded their first E.P. "Live at the Jam Sessions." (released April 2002). The band simply jammed live, left the tape rolling, and what followed was a fresh and honest look at a band finding themselves. Lost Cause and Open Glory were just two of the songs which appeared on the E.P. Having sold out fairly quickly (two weeks) while the band embarked on their tour of the UK, unofficially dubbed "The Jam Sessions Tour", the band were continuing to write new songs. However, a busy schedule of gigs occupied the band relentlessly. In early 2005 the band recorded their first studio demo featuring tracks such as "Anthem I", and "Get High". The E.P. is called "Falling Upwards" and is due out on May 19th 2005.
