The Four Fours

The Four Fours Bio:

Matt, Chris & Rich were (at some point or other) part of math rock wonder band You ****. Their album Critical Meat sold out in Japan, making 100,000 Yen (about 500 quid). After the success of that, the guys decided to write some songs with words and formed The Four Fours. The name doffs it’s cap to the time signature shenanigans of their former outfit. Plus there’s three of them.

Here’s the lowdown:
– Rich plays centre half for his local five-a-side team and co-owns Derby’s own Snug Recording Company.
– Matt was once in a movie and got told off by Ralph Fiennes for talking during takes.
– Chris used to be neighbours with PJ Harvey and almost has a Masters in Disasters.

All this experience makes for an interesting mix.

The band have gained radio play from the likes of Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing. Singles Count To Ten and Messing With History are up in your face, with a real garage rock edge, think QOTSA’s Go With The Flow, and pop sensibilities, like The Clash.
