Slaughterhouse 57 Bio:
Slaughterhouse 57 formed in November 2001. Dave Howitt on vocals, Bill Moore on lead guitar, Toby Stiles on rhythm guitar, Brett Butler on bass and H. Moon on drums . Slaughterhouse 57's first gig was at the Freebutt in Brighton. During the first year together they released two demos, the first one entitled "Hanging with the wrong people" which included the tracks 'We love beer(Cos beer loves us)', 'Deny', 'So, So happy', 'Rebel', '28 years', and 'Satan made me do it'. The second demo was recorded at Studio 284 in Brighton and included the tracks 'I don't wanna live like this', 'Girl (in the boot of my car)', 'Hunted', 'Cathode ray coma' In January 2003 after playing gigs all over England Toby decided to move away and the band carried on playing as a four piece. The band's first tour came in November 2003 playing with New York band Flour City Knuckleheads. In May 2004 H decided to call it a day and left the band. Jez Palmer ( ex bowlrider) replaced H on drums and Matt Johansson (ex ska gal and the hands of ra) joined as rhythm guitarist. In Jan 2005 the band released their first official recording called the 'Fuck Tomorrow E.P' released on Killer Records the tracks include 'Live forever', a reworking of 'Deny', 'Billy Mackenzie', 'Stalingrad', a reworking of 'Cathode ray coma', and ending with beer drinking sing along 'Double vision'. Its nearly 4 years since the band formed, and in that time they have shared stages with Punk giants Discharge, The Exploited, Murphy's Law, The Meteors, Duane Peters and the Hunns, Splodgennessabounds featuring Wurzel from Motorhead, The Dwarves, King Kurt, Subhumans, Peter and the test-tube babies, Varukers, Winnebago Deal, Zeke, One Way System. The band are about to release a split 7" single with fellow Punkers H8ball, and embark on a UK tour with Swedish Riot Rock 'n' Roll band Disco Volante. |
