Rockets and Cars
Rockets and Cars Bio:

No nonsense, no bullshit. No hype and no gimmicks. Rockets and Cars don’t give a schtick about the Flavor of the Month, or the Next Big Thing. They know that in the end, it’s all irrelevant, and over time, these things inevitably fade. This is a rock and roll band, that’s it.

Rockets and Cars are the machines that drive us, not the clutter that clogs the way. Man-made symbols of progress, of movement, of triumph and accomplishment. Rockets and Cars are the engines of evolution, if you will. The rock and roll band is very much the same thing; that’s why they chose the name. Driving, pushing -- and never, ever coasting …. Coming out of the New York City rock scene this band has seen how the hype can stall the promise, and has lived through the rigors of competition in the club world. So many bands, so many trends (so many attitudes). Rockets and Cars decidedly do their own thing, and never care to check the rear-view.

Fronted by TJ Rosenthal, Rockets and Cars are like a well-oiled machine, finely tuned & primed. Powerful and graceful, like a top fuel eliminator or -- hell, let’s run with it – the shuttle on throttle up . Tight and focused, the rhythm section of Dom (bass) and Gary Calzaretta (drums) build a solid foundation, a kind of frenzied playground for Jeremy Stephens’ guitar to revel in. It’s hard to describe, but it roughly sounds like what waking up next to a stranger feels like. Rosenthal’s vocals and melodies perfectly complete the Rockets and Cars sound (and can belie some rather intense and poignant lyrics). He means what he says, that much is certain. The live show is raw, earnest and compelling; this is an amazing band to watch, to be sure. Black Velvet Magazine called the band’s three-song EP “essential listening” and gave it a five-star rating. They’ve already been selected for two UK compilations, one of which was featured in NME (the British rock Bible, basically).

The new record, Conversations at 30,000 Feet, captures the band perfectly; raw yet confident, full of hills and valleys. Produced by Joe Mattis, the album is essentially a snapshot of where the band is now, today.

Climb inside & enjoy the ride….
