Revelry Bio:
The origin of the name Revelry actually derived from a book by Shakespeare. Somewhere while working through Hamlet, back in school, we stumbled upon the word revelry. It was translated to me as “ausschweifende Feierlichkeiten” (orgy) and I instanly wanted to use this word as a band name. Back in those days my plans were to come up with a punk project…
The result on the other hand does not have that much to do with a punk project. It’s more like… well a lot softer. I still thought the name could stay, as emotions kind of are nothing else than how you would describe an orgy: it’s turbulent, it’s unrestrained, it’s rough and soft, it can bring tears and it can bring joy.
With this in mind, I’m trying to convert my thoughts into music. |
