Queen Anne's Revenge was created by Bryce and Matt Pollock in Kalama, WA the summer of 2008. We wrote a few songs and decided that it was time to put a full band together. With Rory Richard and Zach Westfall (both longtime band mates in other groups) the lineup was complete. Drawing heavily on punk and blues, we aimed to play music that was loud, fast, and fun for both people on stage and on the floor. After Zach left town for a job opportunity, Brian Zimmerman was brought into the fold to replace him as drumer. Lots of different genres have been used to describe us but the one we like the most is "just rock and roll." Queen Anne's Revenge does not split hairs. We are not a post grunge-neo classical-funk fusion-thrash metal-jazz group. We are a rock band, plain and simple. If you like it, good deal, we can't wait to play in a town near you. If QAR ain't your thing, thanks for checking us out anyway, and I hope for your sake you don't live in the apartments above any of the venues we play... |
