Paul Collins Beat Bio:
Paul Collins' Beat plays high energy rock n roll in the style of The Ramones, ACDC, Steve Earle and The Buzzcocks.
Pauls first band The Nerves toured with The Ramones and funded their own recordings despite not having a record deal. The Nerves formed in 1974 and has managed to achieved cult status with the help of record collectors and reissues. Their famous EP included the song Hanging On The Telephone, which was later recorded by Blondie for the chart-topping album "Parallel Lines."
Paul Collins' Beat formed in 1977, after The Nerves disbanded. Jack Lee became a solo artist, Paul Collins formed The Beat and Peter Case would eventually form The Plimsouls.
