Olivia Kimbrough

Olivia Kimbrough Bio:

Born January 26, 1981, Olivia Kimbrough has always been passionate about music, so much so that she has been singing since the age of 4 or 5 years old. Music has always been a part of her life, but it was when she turned 16, giving her life to God that she realized that gospel music held so much more than she could ever imagine. After years of singing in church, Olivia realized that a single song could hold so much meaning for a church service. She desired to sing, not only for herself or those listening to her, but she wanted to sing to God who truly deserved the praise. She prayed a sincere prayer to God to help her sing- to really sing.
Soon, Olivia joined a group of young women desiring to sing gospel music, Women of Worship. The group consisted of seven young women that came together to sing at weddings and church services all while enjoying one another's company at practices. Tragically, Women of Worship was faced with losing a member of their group. Jada S. Lang was called home to be with God while the rest of the group, now six, came together with the strength of God. Olivia will never forget that experience, for it was through this experience that she realized that she wanted to sing for God the way that Jada always did. Olivia says, "Jada always sang what her heart felt for her Savior. She knew that singing with the talent God gave her was special, and at every occasion, she sang as if it were her last time to sing. Jada was on to something! She didn't worry about people. She wanted to please God."
While singing with Women of Worship, Olivia was approached by Nikki Burpo, "God's Wondachild", of God's Anointed Productions about recording a song, "Shower Down". She agreed because she always wanted the experience of recording. The single’s introductory song, “Thank You” and debut single “Shower Down” reflect Olivia’s thankfulness for God’s wonderful love and power in her life, while “Shower Down” speaks about the incredible authority of God’s strength in tough situations.

Olivia’s musical influences include the Clark Sisters, Kim Burrell, Anthony Evans, Yolanda Adams, Natalie Grant, and many more. Olivia continues to sing with Women of Worship and writes music. She is also looking forward to the wonderful things that God is going to do!
