Bethi
Bethi Bio:

Well, I'm a student, and I write songs coz I'm naff at expressing my emotions. I was born in the Channel Isles, grew up in England and now live in Wales. I write songs more when I have exams, or when I feel something really strongly. My biggest influences in terms of experience are my friends and the heartbreak I experienced growing up. My songs, are, almost without exception, all dedicated to at least one person in my life, and often inspired by more. Anyone who knows me - try and spot yourself in the lyrics! I love too much, and often get hurt by this - this is the most common theme in my material.
The recordings that I post up are not good, as I am working out of my bedroom, and they are designed (as stated on the song info for Fairytale Dreams) to show off the music and lyrics, not my singing and keyboard skills! And definitely not the quality of my equipment and range of special effects!

Btw, the songs are all very quiet due to my aforementioned limitations. So you may need to crank your speakers right up.

This song makes me cringe! I wrote it when I was twelve, with a bunch of other people from my secondary school music class, who were less than enthusiastic! But so many people who have heard all my material like this one best, so here goes. I guess, at the very least, it gets my classmates recognition!

Again, written for a very dear friend, written in fact earlier than Fairytale Dreams, though I don't suppose that there will be any chronological order to my songs once they're all up. I wrote the first verse and chorus during one of my shifts at Next - happy days there, they have no idea how many of my songs I have to thank them for!

This song is written about personal experiences, although in retrospect, possibly unfair to the subject. It is a song about betrayal by a friend at a time when you needed them most.

Ok, well this is completely different to my usual kind of song. You can see my Somerset roots coming out in the language here! It's written to be an encouragement to all my Christian brothers and sisters out there who feel like after every temptation conquered, there's another counter attack waiting, twice as strong as the last. Heads up folks - you can't do it alone, but Christ has all the strength you need. And He won't leave you stranded!

I wrote this song at the end of my time at college with two people in mind, but it goes out to all my friends whom I don't see as much as I should because we've moved away to go to college, or uni, or whatever it is that drags us away from our home towns. You don't stop being my friends because we don't see each other every day any more.

I wrote this song for a very dear friend who doesn't know who he is, at a time when I thought that I would lose him from my life forever. Fortunately, I didn't, but the song was born by then. It's one of my favourites - certainly my pre-uni fave!
Granted the recording is terrible, and my keyboard skills minimal, but I'm a poor student working out of my bedroom! The recording is to demonstrat the tune and lyrics of the song, rather than any skill which I posess in performing it.
