Cragmatic Pope Bio:In Kirkland Lake in the mid 1990s, kids created music for other kids, started bands, wrote songs, put on their own shows, recorded their own albums, wrote and published zines, and started their own small DIY labels. They also traveled to other towns in northern Ontario to play shows where the kids there seemed to be up to the same thing, and their bands came to Kirkland play. This band is a small piece of what of happened. The line-up of Cragmatic Pope represented here recorded "Disappear Today" in a small 8-track basement studio in 1995 for $600, and "Get Away From That Fish" which was recorded on a 4-track at Latrine Recording (Jasmine’s basement) in 1996. Roughly 50 copies of "Disappear Today", and 125 copies of "Get Away From That Fish" were pressed. Shane Willard’s: songs, and a cover of the Subverts' Social Oppression, which make up roughly 1/3 of this line-up's output were ripped from an old tape in 2009 and posted to the web.
